About IEC- Traditional Chinese Medicine:

Every Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) doctor should treat himself to the opportunity to experience TCM in IEC-TCM. Its goal to provide education and lectures, clinical practices and create a memorable experience for the overseas TCM doctors.

Comfort, accommodation and support for the needs of trainees have been made a priority in delivering the training program to our foreign colleagues.

IEC was officially approved and set up in 1997 by The TCM Administration Bureau of Zhejiang Province and Health Bureau of Zhejiang Province. It receives over 200 foreign doctors and students every year. They respectively come from America, German, Israel, Switzerland, Australia, Korea, Canada, and England for short term TCM practice and long term research. All the participants of IEC- have the chance to practice Acupuncture, Herbs and Massage in the Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital.Founded in 1937, Provincial Hospital of TCM is the largest affiliated hospital of Zhejiang College, and a general hospital undertaking medical treatment, medical education and scientific research with an emphasis on TCM. Awarded the title of first Grade TCM-hospital by the China Health Service Ministry ,it is well known nation-wide, boasting a great technical capacity and a large number of qualified experts on both Chinese and western medicines.The hospital has a staff of 1000. Among them, 205 are senior medical experts, and 33 are state-honored prominent TCM physicians and provincial noted TCM professors. It has a total of 16 wards with 800 inpatient beds, 26 clinical departments, 65 specialist clinics, one CCU and one ICU. The number of patients treated in the outpatient departments of the hospital is over 1,000,000 and the number of inpatients is over 10,000 annually.

There are eight research labs in the hospital, specializing in the following: Digestive Disorder, Haematology, Tumors, Pharmacology, Lung Function, Immune-Kidney Disorder, Neurology and Nursing. The clinical departments of Hematology, Digestive Disorder, Neurology, Respiratory and Gynaecology Disorder are centers for the treatment of these disorders in Zhejiang. It is authorized as Zhejiang Provincial Health Service Bureau.
