IEC has a unique Chinese language and Internship
programs for students from Hotel management and
other related specialties We focus on hospitality
sector and we helps students get internship placements
with leading hotels in China. For this program we
have associated with various service providers and
teaching institutions in China.
IEC Chinese language studies with practical work
experience in a hotel in China is ideal for graduate
students or professionals interested in improving
their Chinese language skills and gaining work experience
in China.
Objective:
The Internship component is designed to provide
practical experience in a hotel in China, bridging
language immersion with a professional work experience
in China.
FEATURES:
The CLI program consists of two components:
Language Component
- Total immersion in the Chinese language

Internship Component
- Internship in a Hotel in China.

The above program is for students who have
basic knowledge of Chinese language. For those with
very little or no knowledge of Chinese have to undergo
an additional training program for one month.
Chinese Language Component
This course component is devoted to language and
consists of four aspects: 1) core language classes,
2) after-class tutoring, 3) language exchange partner
program, and 4) electives. These components are
designed to allow participants to progress rapidly
and gain fluency in the language. Students are taught
valuable information regarding modern day Chinese
culture and society which, in turn, helps to improve
participants' linguistic and communicative skills.
Internship Component:
The Internship component offers students and professionals
work experience in China, pre-Internship training,
and assistance in incorporating language with basic
office skills and Chinese business practices.
1) Pre-Internship Training
A leading specialist in Chinese business culture
presents a series of lectures over the duration
of one week, offering insights into the practical
working culture of a Chinese company or international
company operating in China. Topics that are covered
include basic business writing skills, answering
telephones, and business etiquette.
2) Internship
Students will work for at least 25 hours a week
in a hotel in China
3) Stipend
This unpaid internship may include a stipend paid
by the company for travel or lunch purposes during
the internship period.
VISA
Applicants should apply for an F
Visa. In most cases visas will be issued for 1,
3 or 6 months regardless of the study duration.
If the study duration is not covered by the initial
visa approval, an extension will be made by the
host institution and WLE on arrival. Furthermore
some embassies and consulates may issue an L
visa regardless of the purpose for entering China.
In these cases the visa can also be converted on
arrival. An Invitation Letter and Admission Confirmation
are required to obtain a visa. These documents are
provided by WLE when enrollment has been completed
and Total Program Fees paid.
REQUIREMENTS:
Participants must be between the ages of 21 and
45 (for other ages, please contact IEC), have completed
high school or an equivalent, and be in good health.
