Tuition and fees

   (1) Application fee: RMB 200 yuan. (The application fee is nonrefundable)
     (2) Tuition fee: Students will not be allowed to register before they pay the tuition fee.

Financial Support for International Students

 Zhejiang Gongshang University (ZJGSU) provides international students with Strong financial support in the form of long-term or short-term teaching assistantships in our Spoken English Promotion Project. By "long-term", we mean that the students will study in this University for one semester or over one semester. By "short-term", we mean that the students will study in this University for two to four weeks

Requirements:
International students, who study the courses of Chinese Culture and Business in this University on a long-term or short-term basis, and who can speak standard English fluently, clearly and distinctly are eligible for this program. The teaching assistantships are only available to students in a group of at least 16 who come together from a higher educational institution overseas.

Job descriptions:
Each teaching assistant (TA) will be assigned to chat in English with native ZJGSU students for three or four hours each workday. The purpose of the program is to improve the native students' spoken English. Each TA will be assigned to talk to a different four students each hour. Each TA¡¯s performance will be evaluated by our students and English teachers. The amount of payment to teaching assistantships will be based on our evaluation. Generally speaking, TAs are potentially eligible for full assistantship.

Benefits:
The assistantship can help an international student waive his/her tuition and cover the costs of accommodation, food and local transportation during his/her studies in the University. For example, an international student who studies for two weeks would receive a full assistantship which covers RMB800 for tuition, RMB210 for food, RMB560 for accommodation, and RMB430 for local transportation, totally equivalent to US$ 250. This means that the payment to each hour's job amounts to US$ 6.25. An international student who receives excellent evaluation will get extra awards.

Application:
Applicants for TA should send their application in a group via e-mail. The application form is available at university address. Once we receive the application, we will fix the time for the interview via the internet. We will subsequently send the notice of acceptance to those applicants who have passed the interview.
