South China University of Technology (SCUT) is one of China's leading universities. It operates under the direct leadership of the State Ministry of Education. SCUT is a member of Project 985 and Project 211 which means top excellent in teaching and research, it is one of the universities approved by MOE to accept international students on Chinese Government Scholarships. SCUT has two campuses in Guangzhou. The north campus, situated in Tianhe District, is in an attractive area, with rolling hills, lakes, lush greenery and brilliant flowers. The campus architecture is a mixture of traditional and modern design. The south campus is located in the University Town in Panyu, which has an open and spacious environment, featuring extensive landscaping and innovative architecture.
